Fun update!

So Motrin pulled the ad and apologized and Target sent everyone who ordered the Britax a $25 gift certificate. Woo Hoo!

Thank you!

Elliott and Elmo want to thank everyone in Grandma Sue's office for all of the nice things. It is so cool that E can have his own stuff at Grandma's when he goes to visit!

Respect the turkey- fail.

We are looking forward to Elliott's first Christmas. So much, in fact, that we are disrespecting the turkey and posting these pictures early!

Silly Target!

The night before last, Target had Britax Marathon convertible car seats on sale for $45. This was obviously an error as they are usually $270. So myself, and a couple hundred/ thousand other people ordered one (well we ordered 2- one for each car). They were soon out of stock.
Yesterday, they canceled our order. Sad day for Target not to honor the price.
Looks like we'll have to pay the full price when that day comes : (

Wow, Motrin. Really?

This ad by Motrin has the natural baby world in an uproar. It portrays babywearing as a fad, not as a bonding experience. Babywearing does not have to be uncomfortable. It is all about finding the right carrier for you.
If you are interested in the benefits of carrying your baby, check out this website .

Doogie thinks he is the baby

We spent a lot of time getting our dogs ready for Elliott. Lets face it, they are our babies too. We played a cd of different baby cries so they would get used to the sound. We asked grandma and grandpa to bring home a blanket that smelled like Elliott before we came home. We also each took turns greeting the dogs before we brought Elliott inside. Then when Elliott did come inside, the dogs got to greet him (sniffs and kisses included)
Because of this, the dogs do GREAT with Elliott. We still have to limit RZA only ONE kiss at a time. For those of you who know Riz, this is a stretch for her : )
As Elliott grows, we will teach him puppy manners. Like no pulling tails, dont play with the food, stuff like that. I think this will help ensure the great relationship he will have with the dogs. What kid doesnt want to have a dog growing up?
BTW, even with all of the training we did, we never thought that Doogie would love bottles and pacifiers. You should see some of them that we have had to throw away b/c of all of the puppy teeth marks : )

Elliott found his fingers!!

I guess he can also find his fingers upside down!

Elliott had his 2 month checkup yesterday! He was 13 lbs. and 13 oz., and 24 inches long. He has almost doubled his birth weight of 7lbs. 5 oz. Yowza!
The doctor also loved his diapers. For those of you who dont know, we cloth diaper. Dont worry, they're not your grandmas cloth diapers!! Here are some fun sites if you are interested in CD'ing.

Ha! They make jeans for babies! And polo shirts!

We'll see how long I keep this up after my maternity leave is over...

Hey gang! Here are some  of the newest pictures of Elliott. You (grandmas)  can decide which ones to download to your computer to print.
Thanks Jackie for the great idea!

Here are some pictures I took of Elliott the rocker today- notice the sweet velvet guitars on his outfit. Taking after Dad already! He's huge already- almost 14 pounds and double his birth weight!

He looks so serious!

These pictures are from Halloween! We went to a Tiny Tot parade in Old Town with some friends. We got lots of compliments on our cute "pumpkin"
